Note: The email you received is sent in “html” format and
contains graphics (“pictures”) such as the management company logo.
If you cannot see these pictures, you must make them visible before you can
download the documents you have ordered.
If you are using Outlook Express 6, do the following to make the pictures visible:
- Open the email in its own window by double-clicking it.
- In the menu bar at the top, click “View” and select "Blocked Images”.
For other email programs:
- Look for a blue or red outlined box at the top center of the email. (This represents a picture of the management company logo that has not been downloaded.)
- Right click in the box to display the menu of options and look for one named “Download pictures”, or “Unblock pictures”, or some other option (aside from “Save”) that has to do with “pictures”, “images” or “graphics”.
- If found, click on that option. If not found, try the “View” menu item at the top of the window and look for a similar item there.
- If neither of these work, you will need to refer to the “Help” for your particular email program, or contact your company’s Help Desk for assistance.
(1) Move down to near the bottom of the email and look for a brownish colored button named “Download Now”.
(2) Clicking that button will take you to our “Download Web Site”. (You must be connected to the Internet at this time.)
a. Look for the “security” message at the top of the web page, above the management company logo.
b. Clicking on that message will display a menu. Click on “Download File”.
c. The normal “File Download” box will then appear. Go to (3), below.
d. If you do not see the "security" message, and the "File Download" box does not automatically appear, you must change your Internet Options to be able to download the file. Click here for details.
(3) In the "File Download" box, click the “Save” button. (Do not click “Open”.)

(4) The “Save As” box will appear. Click on “Desktop” on the left side of the box, then click the “Save” button. Do not change the extension of the file. It should be “.zip”.(5) After you click the "Save" button, the file will begin copying to your Desktop and you will see the following box:
(6) When the copy is complete, click the “x” in the upper right corner of the Download Complete box (if showing), the Download Web Page, and the email so that those windows will close. (You no longer need them.) Minimize any other open windows so that you can see your Desktop.
The file you have downloaded
is a “compressed” or “zip” folder that contains the
document files listed in the body of the email you received.
(1) If you have Windows XP or Windows Vista on your computer, you already have
what you need to view the list of documents. On your Desktop, you should now
see an icon that looks like a file folder with a zipper:
Simply double-click on the folder to display a list of the document files:
You then double-click on the document you want to view and/or print, and it will open using the program needed. (Almost all of the documents use Adobe Reader for viewing.) You can also "extract" the documents to a folder, which will "unzip" them. To do this, click the "Extract all files" link at the top of the left side of the page. This will start the Extraction Wizard that will walk you through the process.
(2) If you are not running Windows XP, you need a third party program to view the list of the files. If an appropriate program is not already installed on your computer, the icon for the downloaded file will look like a sheet of paper with a computer window on top:
If you see this, you will need to download and install a “zip” program. Several “freeware” and purchase versions are available for download (use Google™ to search for “zip programs”).
We recommend using "Zip995" because there is no charge to download or use the program, and it does not "expire" after a certain number of days or uses. See www.Zip995.com for details and to download and install this program. If you do choose Zip995 and install it, the icon for the downloaded file will then look like this:
Again, simply double-click the icon to start the program and see a list of the files, then double-click the file you want to view.
Almost all of the files
in the zipped folder are in “pdf” format and can be viewed and printed
with the free Adobe® Reader program. Most computers already have this program
installed but, if yours does not, you can download and install it by clicking
here.
(We recommend that you “uncheck” the options for Yahoo! Toolbar
and Photoshop® Album Starter Edition so that they are not installed.)
In order for the documents to print properly, use regular 8-½”
x 11” paper (legal paper is not necessary) and select the “Reduce
to printer margins” setting for “Page Scaling” in the Print
dialog box, as shown here:
If a document is not in “.pdf” format, you may still have a program
that will open it for viewing and/or printing. Try double-clicking on the document
in the list of files. If you have the correct program, it will start up and
you can print the document using that program.
If, however, Windows shows you a message saying that you need to tell it what program to use, like this:
then you probably do not have the program needed. Click the “Cancel” button and give us a call at the number below. We’ll do our best to get you a document that you can open.
